I’m Paige Parnell, and this is the UF Student Health Care Center, where more than 22,000 UF students take advantage of the medical services they provide each year. The Student Health Care Center is located
in the Infirmary Building near the Racquet Club Center Dining on Fletcher Drive. This place is the real deal, with licensed, board-certified doctors and healthcare professionals — some of whom even treat the Gator athletes! And they’re here to help YOU! Just like your doctor back home, the Student Health Care Center is here for you when you’re sick or hurt. You don’t have to worry about figuring out
how or where to get what you need. The Student Health Care Center has a full-service pharmacy and mini drug store, plus X-ray and lab services. They also have a ton of stuff to help keep you healthy, including nutrition services, a clinic just for women, sports medicine and physical therapy. That means stuff like injuries, birth control
and diet questions are all handled in the same building. Know what’s cool? The health fee included with your tuition helps pay for a basic visit! Student Health charges for things like prescriptions, procedures, X-rays and lab tests, but accepts UF-sponsored and private health insurance plans to help pay for that stuff. Just make sure to double check online for more info: shcc.ufl.edu. So… How do you get access to all this and
more? Just call first: 352-392-1161. Or go online: shcc.ufl.edu. And if you call in the morning you can usually be seen the same day. Bottom line: The Student Health Care Center helps you get in, get out and get on with your life!
